The Lower Moreland Township Police Department announced today that Joseph and Timothy, seniors at Lower Moreland High School, took part in the department’s internship program this summer.
The program, which began in 2019, allows criminal justice students from local colleges and universities to earn college credits while participating in a variety of activities, including ride-alongs, investigative work, and department training.
Joseph and Timothy were completing their CAPS (Community Action Project for Seniors) program. They created and presented a program about senior fraud for the residents of Gloria Dei Towers and Gloria Dei Manor and were joined by Starustine and Casey, students from Penn State and Holy Family University, respectively.

“They participated in a number of activities, including ride-alongs with patrol officers, attending court and range training,” the announcement said. “They also set up an information table at the Huntingdon Valley Library to help promote our CrimeWatch platform.”
