Lower Moreland police investigating ‘large crowd fighting’ at a local Wawa, 18-year-old male hospitalized

The Lower Moreland Township Police Department announced today that officers are investigating an assault which took place at the Wawa at 2500 Philmont Avenue in Huntingdon Valley on Thursday, August 14 at approximately 9:39pm.

According to a press release, officers received a report of a large crowd fighting. Arriving officers found an 18-year-old male victim on the ground who was breathing but was unresponsive. Multiple individuals fled in vehicles before police came on site.

The victim was transported to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia via helicopter and is listed in critical condition, police said.
