Lower Moreland police arrest woman after finding her asleep in a car with illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia

The Lower Moreland Police Department announced today the arrest of Krista Killen, 46, who is accused of possessing illegal drugs and multiple items of drug paraphernalia.

According to the report, officers found Killen on March 28 asleep behind the wheel of her parked vehicle at 2700 block of Philmont Avenue in Huntingdon Valley.

The vehicle was “parked crookedly, with the rear driver’s side tire across the line into the adjacent parking space,” police said.

After awakening Killen, officers saw drug paraphernalia in plain view on the front passenger seat. Killen told police she had taken methadone and had fallen asleep.

A search of the vehicle revealed multiple items of drug paraphernalia. and a search of her purse revealed “more drug paraphernalia and a large amount of drugs,” police said.

Her charges are below:

  • (5) COUNTS OF 780-113 A16 INTENTIONAL POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE BY
  • (8) COUNTS OF 780-113 A32 USE/POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
  • (1) COUNT OF 5505 PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS AND SIMILAR MISCONDUCT
