The Lower Moreland Police Department announced today the arrest of Michael Whitehead, 59, for possession of an illegal firearm, drugs, and drug paraphernalia.
According to the report, officers conducted a traffic stop on Monday, March 23 at Philmont Avenue and Manor Road in Huntingdon Valley due to an inoperable headlight. The operator, identified as Whitehead, was the sole occupant of the vehicle, police said.
An investigation revealed drugs, drug paraphernalia and a firearm inside the vehicle, police said. Whitehead has been charged with the following:
- (1) COUNT OF 6105 A1 POSSESSION OF FIREARM PROHIBITED
- (1) COUNT OF 6106 A1 FIREARMS NOT TO BE CARRIED W/O LICENSE
- (2) COUNTS OF 780-113 A30 MANUFACTURE DELIVERY OR POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO MANUFACTURE OR DELIVER
- (1) COUNT OF 780-113 A16 INT POSS CONTR SUBST BY PER NOT REG
- (1) COUNT OF 780-113 A16 INTENTIONAL POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE BY
- (1) COUNT OF 780-113 A32 USE / POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
