The Lower Moreland Police Department announced the arrest of Dhymair Jones, 23, who is accused of possessing an illegal firearm.

According to the report, Jones’ silver Chevrolet was stopped on Monday, April 28 for speeding on Welsh Road in Huntingdon Valley. During the stop, a Glock 45 was observed in plain view on the floor behind the passenger seat.

Jones, who did not possess a permit to carry a firearm, was taken into custody on the following charge:

• (1) COUNT OF 6106 A2 FIREARM NOT TO BE CARRIED W/O LICENSE – NO CRIM VIOL
