Lower Moreland police arrest man for driving a stolen car without a license or insurance

The Lower Moreland Police Department announced today the arrest of Kyle Miller, 27, who is accused of driving a stolen car without a license or insurance.

According to the report, officers stopped Miller’s red Ford Explorer at Byberry Road and Brae Bourn Drive in Huntingdon Valley on April 16. During the stop, police discovered that Miller was operating the vehicle without a driver’s license and without insurance.

He produced a title for the vehicle but was unable to provide any other documentation, police said. A check of the vehicle’s VIN revealed that it was reported stolen out of Philadelphia, though Miller claimed that the vehicle belonged to his friend and that he had purchased it to teach him how to drive.

Attempts to contact the vehicle owner were unsuccessful and Miller was taken into custody for receiving stolen property.

  • (1) COUNT OF 1301 A DR UNREGIST VEH
  • (1) COUNT OF 1543 A DRIV WHILE OPER PRIV SUSP OR REVOKED
