Lower Moreland officers take 1st and 2nd at grappling championships, Upper Moreland sergeant graduates from Police Staff and Command school

Corporal Aleksander Sireev and Officer Vitaliy Kobylyanskyy of the Lower Moreland Police Department competed in their respective expert divisions at the North American Grappling Association Championship in Philadelphia.

Corporal Sireev and Officer Kobylyanskyy took first and second in their divisions, respectively.

In related news, Sergeant James Robb of the Upper Moreland Police Department graduated from the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command. 

The 10-week program is designed to prepare law enforcement professionals for success in senior level command positions within the police department, officials said. Areas of focus include budgeting, media relations, organizational behavior, community policing and more.
