Cheltenham grad ‘Lil Dicky’ remixes ’90s hit for Xfinity campaign

Cheltenham native and rapper/comedian Dave Burd (aka Lil Dicky) is starring in a remix of The Outhere Brothers’ 1994 hit “Boom Boom Boom” for Xfinity’s WiFi Is Booming campaign, People.com reported.

“I had just happened to have posted something online one day about a pickup line,” Burd told People.com. “If you go up to a girl and you say, ‘Boom, boom, boom, let me hear you say way-oh’ and she doesn’t finish it [by saying ‘way-oh’ back], she’s not the one. They were already working on their own campaign about booming Wi-Fi, saw that and had the idea — ‘Why don’t we get him to remix that song?’ It’s rare that I happen to like a brand’s idea, but I did in this case. I didn’t do that to set anything up. It’s the way the world works.”
