Joey O’Brien, a junior at La Salle College High School in Wyndmoor, was named to the Nike Next One’s Invitational during Sunday’s Philadelphia Eagles game.

Nike partnered with each NFL team to select one top high school player. Each of the 32 selected student-athletes will showcase their talents in the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on Saturday, February 8, the day before the Super Bowl.

In addition to this honor, O’Brien was recognized as the PCL Red Division MVP and a 6A All-State wide receiver alongside junior quarterback Gavin Sidwar, the school said in a post.

In March, O’Brien was featured by Sports Illustrated’s Irish Breakdown for his first recruiting visit to Notre Dame. You can also check out his one-shoe dunk during a January Explorers basketball game.
