Lakresha Jolly, a Jenkintown resident, will open Kresha Kreations at 201 Leedom Street sometime in the coming weeks.

The shop sells custom-made cakes, pies, and other baked goods for weddings, birthdays, graduations, corporate and school events.

Jolly, a single mother of four boys, launched her business in 2020. She has owned and operated a commissary kitchen in Abington Township, a kiosk at the Willow Grove Park Mall, as well as a food truck.

This is her first brick-and-mortar store.

“I had just left my job in January 2020. I bought an empty trailer and went from there,” Jolly said.

The property’s final inspection is expected soon, at which point she’ll be cleared for takeoff.

“I’m hoping within the next few weeks,” she said. “I opened up the bakery and moved my house all at the same time, which was crazy, but I got through it.”
