Glenside native, Coast Guard rower named 2x All-American

Katharine Morgan, a Glenside native and recently graduated member of the Coast Guard women’s rowing stroke team, has been named as a CRCA Division III All-American.

The Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School graduate was a Second Team pick last year and entered this season on the CRCA Athletes to Watch List.

“I’m excited that Katharine gets to close out her career here with her second consecutive All-American recognition,” says head coach Andriel Doolittle. “This is well-earned and well-deserved. Throughout the past four years, she has truly embodied what it takes to be a top-level athlete in Division III through her overall talent and hard work.”

Morgan was the 2025 NEWMAC Rower of the Year and a two-time All-NEWMAC selection (First Team in 2025, Second Team in 2024), as well as the 2022 Black Oar Award recipient. She helped the Bears to fourth place at last season’s NEWMAC Championship, fourth place in the Petite Final of the New England Rowing Championship, and fifth place in the Petite Final of the National Invitational Rowing Championship.
