KF5K fundraiser race set for June 8 in Glenside, all proceeds go to Kevin Flach Scholarship Fund

The KF5K will honor the memory of Kevin Thomas Flach, a six-year-old St. Luke’s School student who passed away in a tragic accident in 2010, on Saturday, June 8 at St. Luke Catholic School in Glenside.

The main race will begin at 8:30am on the corner of Fairhill and Roberts avenues. Runners are asked to report to the starting line by 8:20am.

The PK Dash will begin at 8:15am on the corner of Rosemore and Roberts avenues. Runners are asked to report to the starting line by 8:05am.

From the race’s description:

Kevin was a fun-loving, energetic, 6 year-old boy who loved the Phillies and playing with his siblings and friends at St. Luke School. It is the hope of all of Kevin’s loved ones to keep his name and spirit alive through the Kevin Flach Scholarship Fund.  The intent of the scholarship fund is to not only keep Kevin’s spirit alive, but to continue to provide someone less fortunate a scholarship to St. Luke School.  Both of Kevin’s parents insisted on such a fund.  They have six other children who all graduated from St. Luke School, and they believe it is a great way to honor his extraordinary life.

All proceeds from the event will benefit The Scholarship Fund in Memory of Kevin Flach. For more on the fund and the Flach family, you can click here.
