Plans for 79 age-restricted townhomes at the Enclave at Kerlin Farm property in Elkins Park to be discussed at Cheltenham’s Planning Commission meeting on July 28

Plans for the Enclave at Kerlin Farm property, a 7.49-acre parcel located at 1050 Ashbourne Road in Elkins Park, will be discussed at Cheltenham Township’s Planning Commission meeting on Monday, July 28.

According to the meeting’s agenda, the project is in the Final Land Development phase and calls for 79 age-restricted townhomes in three four-story multifamily buildings.

A proposal was first submitted to Cheltenham Township in December 2017 and received preliminary approval from the Board of Commissioners in December 2018.

The property dates back to the late 1600s and features one of the oldest houses in the township and Montgomery County, according to a document compiled by Ed Landau. The original structures are still standing today, as seen in the following photos:
