Jim Clibanoff, CHS class of ’85, helps Denver Nuggets take home first-ever NBA title

Jim Clibanoff, a 1985 Cheltenham High School graduate and Vice President of Scouting for the Denver Nuggets, helped his organization to its first National Basketball Association championship last night.

The Nuggets defeated the Miami Heat 94-89 at Ball Arena in Denver to take Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

The lifelong basketball enthusiast has been with the Nuggets since 2013 and was recently promoted to Vice President of Scouting for the NBA’s Denver Nuggets after serving the previous eight seasons as the Director of Scouting.

The Wyncote native was instrumental in bringing two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic to the United States and Denver from Serbia.
