Hatboro police arrest man for attempted shooting following domestic disturbance

The Hatboro Police Department announced today the arrest of Keith Johnson, 29, for an attempted shooting at the 300 block of Horsham Road on Saturday, September 19.

An investigation revealed that the victim was involved in a domestic-related disturbance with Johnson, and when she tried to leave the area in a vehicle, Johnson “stood in the way, produced a firearm and fired one round at the victim which missed by mere inches”, police said.

According to the report, responding officers confirmed that there were no injuries.

Johnson was located shortly thereafter in Philadelphia where he was arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility where he was arraigned.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for October 1, police said. Johnson’s charges are below:

  • 18 2701 (A)(1) SIMPLE ASSAULT
