The Pizza Wheel in Jenkintown will open its doors for the first time from 4:00pm to 9:00pm today, Saturday, and Sunday. Reservations and takeout will not be offered during the soft opening.

The B.Y.O.B. restaurant is located at 314 York Road, the former site of Upper Crust Pizza, and will offer brick oven pizza, classic entrees, specialty pastas, gourmet sandwiches, and homemade sauces. The location has a front and back dining room and will provide customers with catering and event hosting.

After the soft opening, The Pizza Wheel will be open from 11:00am to 9:00pm six days a week, sans Tuesdays. Delivery is offered on all the relevant platforms, including their website.

Owners Dan and Chelsea Katz are denizens of the Jenkintown food scene. West Avenue Grille has been serving the Jenkintown area for over 20 years, and WAGon Wheels Food Truck has been up and running since mid-2021.

“We’ve been working very hard the last couple of months to get this up and running,” Dan said. “We have a wonderful staff, and we’re excited for the community. We know how excited they’ve been. We’re so happy that the day is finally here.”

“We’re really excited and we’re ready to go. We’ll have live music throughout the weekend,” Dan said.
