From the 1988 film’s description:
A telekinetic teenager accidentally frees Jason Voorhees from his watery grave, allowing him to go on another bloody rampage throughout Camp Crystal Lake. As the seventh entry, THE NEW BLOOD features the first appearance of Kane Hodder as the man behind the hockey mask, in the best ‘Jason’ design and effects of the entire series. The addition of the telekinetic teen Tina (a homage to Carrie White from the Stephen King novel) provides a fun protagonist for Jason to fight. Rated R.
