Ramon Garcia, 33, a former medical assistant at Carbon Health Urgent Care location in Jenkintown (Abington Township) who is accused of groping, spying on, and sexually assaulting women while posing as a nurse, will face up to a decade in prison after admitting to indecent contact with or invading the privacy of a dozen female patients while conducting vaginal or breast exams for his sexual gratification, Mainline Media News reported.
Garcia pleaded guilty to multiple charges of aggravated indecent assault, attempted aggravated indecent assault, invasion of privacy and attempted invasion of privacy, indecent assault and performing actions under false pretenses in connection with inappropriate conduct between November 2023 and March 2024.
One incident also occurred at a Carbon Health Urgent Care in the Dresher section of Upper Dublin, Mainline Media said.
He will be sentenced at a later date to five to 10 years in prison, to be followed by five years of probation. He also faces a lifetime requirement to report his address to state police to comply with the state’s Sexual Offender Registration and Notification Act, formally known as Megan’s Law.
Garcia, reportedly a father of six, is additionally prohibited from working in the medical field as a result of his conviction, Mainline Media said.
He was arrested on March 12 for Aggravated Indecent Assault (2nd degree felony), Indecent Assault, and (2) counts of Invasion of Privacy.
On April 12, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and Abington Township Police Chief Patrick Molloy announced that 24 felony and misdemeanor criminal charges involving 12 additional victims had been filed against Garcia.
In May, Garcia waived his preliminary hearing.
