Jenkintown to Begin Street Sweeping June 10

Jenkintown wants residents to know it will unleashing its state-of-the-art street sweeper into the borough to clean away potential pollutants, salts and other hazards.

It does this in accordance with the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit issued by the PA Department of Environmental Protection. Jenkintown Borough is required to implement good housekeeping strategies to prevent pollution in stormwater runoff from municipal operations, including roadways.
