The Jenkintown School Board recently released photos featuring the results of capital improvements in the November issue of their Board Brief.
The Board approved a contract in November 2020 for a comprehensive facilities study, and in March 2021, the completed study was presented to the Board, administration and public. The study served as the basis for bids for larger capital improvement projects, which were administered in February 2022.
The first of the larger projects began over the summer months, and included reconfiguring classroom spaces, upgrades to some bathrooms and HVAC upgrades in the pit gym. Smaller projects identified in the study have already been completed.
The Board released photos of upgrades to the Middle School/High School building’s students bathrooms.

“The student representatives and administration have noted the positive feedback from these recent improvements, and we thank Mr. Mike Nickerson for leading these successful projects,” Board President Dr. Megan O’Brien wrote.
