Charles Fulforth, 41 (above right), of the Jenkintown section of Abington Township, and Kelvin Roberts, 42, of Philadelphia, were convicted on Thursday of first-degree murder and related crimes for killing a Lower Merion man and seriously wounding his mother, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office announced.
Fulforth and Roberts were also found guilty of attempted murder, robbery, and burglary, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported. Both men have extensive criminal histories, including serving time in county jail and state prison.
Fulforth, Roberts, and Jeremy Fuentes, 26, of Philadelphia, were coworkers at Junkluggers in the Willow Grove section of Upper Moreland Township. Fuentes allegedly provided information to Roberts and Fulforth in connection with the robbery. Together, they led a gun trafficking operation that was illegally selling factory-made firearms as well as manufacturing and selling 3D-printed “ghost guns,” suppressors (aka silencers) and machine gun conversion devices, commonly known as “switches.”
In January, a total of eight people were charged in connection with the gun trafficking operation.
Roberts and Fulforth entered not guilty pleas in February to charges of first- and second-degree murder, attempted murder, robbery, burglary and conspiracy.
An arrest warrant was issued for Roberts on December 9. Fulforth was arrested on December 12. You can read our previous coverage of the incident here and here.
