Jenkintown man arrested for attempted sexual encounter with minor was a longtime SEPTA employee, investigation underway

Eric Karch, 53, of Jenkintown, who was arrested and accused on Saturday of attempting to have involuntary sexual contact with a juvenile among other charges, was a longtime employee of SEPTA.

According to FOX29, a SEPTA spokesman confirmed Karch’s employment in maintenance for over 20 years and stated that SEPTA’s inspector general has begun an administrative investigation following the arrest.
