Niche, a Pittsburgh-based firm which provides in-depth metrics of schools and neighborhoods, ranked Jenkintown as Pennsylvania’s 10th safest town and the 18th best place to live in the state.

The report gave Jenkintown an “A” for its public schools, a “B” for crime & safety, an “A-” for housing, an “A” for night life, an “A+” for families, and a “B+” for diversity.

In a state-wide comparison, the report also named Jenkintown the 11th best place for retirement, the 11th best suburb for young professionals, and the 14th best suburb.

Jenkintown is a suburb of Philadelphia with a population of 4,418. Jenkintown is in Montgomery County and is one of the best places to live in Pennsylvania. Living in Jenkintown offers residents an urban feel and most residents own their homes. In Jenkintown there are a lot of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and parks. Many young professionals and retirees live in Jenkintown and residents tend to lean liberal. The public schools in Jenkintown are highly rated.
