Jefferson Health announced a multi-year commercial insurance agreement with Cigna, a multinational healthcare and insurance company, ensuring that all Jefferson Health hospitals, physician practices, and providers remain in-network.

The agreement is retroactively effective as of March 15, Jefferson Health said in a statement.

In mid-March, the health care system said it did not finalize a new contract and that Jefferson Health would be considered out of network for Cigna commercial members.

“We appreciate the patience and support of our community throughout this process of ensuring that our patients have uninterrupted access to the trusted providers who know them best,” the statement said.
