Human Robot “The Haus” in Jenkintown has announced the details of the Holiday Stumble Beerfest on Wednesday, December 28 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm.
The themed event is a throwback to a beer festival known as the Royal Stumble, an almost-but-not-forgotten tradition in Philadelphia which took place just around the corner from Human Robot’s nationally-recognized Philly location.
“I thought it’d be fun to recreate that in some regard with a holiday theme,” Ken Correll, Human Robot’s co-founder, said. “Everyone celebrates the holidays a little bit differently, and we encourage people to celebrate however they like.”
The holiday theme encourages pajama holiday-wear (onesies, sweaters, comfy sweats, etc.) to liven up the atmosphere.
“It’s a week where a lot of people are already spending time in their pajamas,” Ken said. “Roll out of bed, have a couple beers and have fun.”
The event will feature live music courtesy of The Fractals, a buffet courtesy of Hermans at the Haus, and unlimited beer sampling with custom glassware for customers to take home.
“The Fractals are a four-piece band with an upscale funky feel. Kevin Hanson is their lead, and he’s been in a number bands,” Ken said. “The glassware is almost ready to go. We always want to have something nice as a little memento.”
Besides Human Robot, other participating breweries include: Second District, Other Half Brewing, Warwick Farm Brewing, Forest And Main Brewing, Bill’s Best Brewery, Von C Brewing Co., Attic Brewing Co., Ten 7 Brewing Co., Artifact Brewing Co., Imprint Beer Co., Lucky Cat Brewing Co., Troubles End Brewing Co., Well Crafted Beer, Carbon Copy Beer and Wine Makers.
Each brewery has been asked to bring two types of beer. A Holiday Stumble Champ will be awarded to the first brewery to kick their beer supply during the event.
$5 from every ticket will be donated to the Jenkintown Food Cupboard. Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food item if they can.
“This is the time of year when JFC is going to get depleted, and we want to help them out if we can,” Ken said.
Tickets to the event can be found here. The cost is $55 until December 21, and $65 until the day of the event. A limited number of tickets are available.
