Hospitalizations in Montgomery County due to Coronavirus top 100

Since our last update on November 2nd, Montgomery County’s COVID-19 data hub reports that there were 118 new cases of Coronavirus on November 3rd and 131 on November 4th. These new cases bring the total countywide since the start of the pandemic to 14,346.

Two additional deaths were reported on November 4th, bringing the total for November to four. The total number of deaths countywide since the start of the pandemic is 842.

The 14-day PCR Positivity Rate as of October 30th is 4.39%. This is up from 4.02% on October 28th is 4.02%. Having this number under 5% is considering having the virus under control.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health’s data hub shows that there are 101 hospitalizations due to Coronavirus in Montgomery County as of November 4th. That is up from 84 on November 2nd at noon. There are seven patients who require a ventilator, which is no change.

The number of cases from the most recent 14 days is 721 more than the 14-days prior. The most recent seven days is 251 more than the previous seven days.

Locally, here are the current numbers:

  • Abington is at 1,038 cases, which is seven more than since November 2nd. There have been 70 deaths
  • Cheltenham is 834 cases, which is 14 more than since November 2nd. There have been 54 deaths
  • Jenkintown is at 52 cases, which is one more than since November 2nd. There have been no deaths
  • Springfield is at 708 cases, which is six more than since November 2nd. There have been 91 deaths
  • Rockledge is at 31 cases, which is one more since November 2nd. There has been one death
