Honoring Martin Luther King Jr. all around the School District

Many students throughout Pennsylvania might have considered today just another day off from school. Cheltenham Township students took this federal holiday a bit more seriously. All township schools reported at 8:30 a.m. to Cheltenham High school, for a Martin Luther King Day of Service. Each school had a different service project, such as collecting toiletries for the the PA Workwear Program, creating flashcards for children learning to read, making breakfast bags for the homeless, filling craft bags for hospitalized children, and assembling goodie bags for homeless teenagers at the Covenant House.  All donations were collected ahead of time within their individual schools to make today more sufficient.  The students were then dismissed at 12:30.
