Hiway Theater celebrates 2nd anniversary of ‘Horror at the Hiway’

The Hiway Theater in Jenkintown celebrated the second anniversary of “Horror at the Hiway” on Friday, April 19.

From the program’s description:

Horror at the Hiway brings the best and most frighteningly fun films in the horror genre to the Jenkintown community. Join us once a month on a Friday as we team up with our neighbors at Human Robot and other local businesses to showcase spine-tingling contemporary, cult, and mainstream classics.

According to theater personnel, the program’s first screening of The Thing was in April 2022.

“We’ve played over 24 horror films, started a special Horror at the Hiway Membership, booked our first ever Terror-Thon and have welcomed over 3,000 enthusiastic audience members to our single screen theater. We think it’s safe to say Horror at the Hiway is here to stay!” the announcement said.

The post also thanks Human Robot Jenkintown for their partnership and area residents for their participation.

Upcoming horror films include:

  • Prom Night (May 17)
  • The Hills Have Eyes (June 7)
  • Nightmare on Elm Street (July 12)
  • Basket Case (August 9)
