Gong cha, a bubble tea franchise founded in 2006 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, is hosting a grand opening for their new location at the H Mart food court in Elkins Park on Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30.

According to franchisee Van Pham, the Philadelphia Suns Lion Dance Team will be onsite to perform that Saturday at 11:00am to kick off the celebration.

The weekend will also include a buy-one-get-one-half-off drink promotion.

The franchise submitted an application to Cheltenham Township in December 2023 and was approved the following month.
