Glenside St. Patrick’s Day parade route announced, GoFundMe launched

The Glenside St. Patrick’s Day Association announced today the parade route for Saturday, March 8.

The event will include:

Festival – 2:00-6:00pm: After the parade, enjoy delicious food, refreshing beverages, live music, kids’ activities, local vendors, and much more.

Parade – 1:00pm: Featuring marching bands, dance troupes, local organizations, and colorful floats.

“We are excited to announce our parade route for the Glenside St Patrick’s Day Parade,” the Association said in a post. “There will be a festival in the Keswick Village after the parade that will have 6 live bands, Irish dancing, beer/food trucks, and vendors!”

In related news, a GoFundMe has been launched to help raise funds for the event.

This event is organized by the Glenside St. Patrick’s Day Parade Association, dedicated to fostering community spirit and celebrating Irish culture. We invite everyone to come out, wear their green, and be part of this exciting new tradition in Glenside!

Your generous donations will go towards:

  • Permits: $350
  • Insurance: $200
  • Porta potties: $250 each
  • Police overtime: $1,800
  • Pipe bands: $3,000 each

A reminder that a second fundraiser for the event will take place at the North Penn VFW Post 676 on Saturday, February 1 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.
