Glenside man sentenced for assaulting Giuliano’s Deli employee

Kennedy Banda, 31, of the 100 block of Easton Road in the Glenside section of Abington, was sentenced to 396 days already served to 23 months in jail on a charge of indecent assault without consent after he allegedly groped a female clerk at Giuliano’s Deli in Glenside on March 20, 2024, Mainline Media News reported today.

According to the report, Banda entered Giuliano’s and went to the cashier to pay for an item, at which point he told a female clerk that he needed to show her a “code violation,” pointing to an area at the far end of the deli.

Once in the hallway, Banda then put his hand on her shoulder, rubbed and slapped her buttocks, and grabbed other intimate areas of her body, police said.

Employees reported Banda frequented the deli often. He must register his address with state police as a sex offender for 15 years and will be under sex offender supervision while serving his parole period.
