Glenside Christmas Tree Lighting In Cheltenham Township

The Christmas Tree Lighting is now set for 5:15 PM today, December 2nd.

The tree lighting “was scheduled for last weekend but due to bad weather we had to cancel,” explained Cheltenham Township Commissioner Drew Sharkey.  “We wanted to do it [today], but again the weather does not seem to be cooperating;  [today] appears to be the only day with fairly decent weather.”

“Come join us as we light the Glenside Christmas Tree on Sunday evening,” Commissioner Sharkey continued.  “Help us start a new tradition, and bring a weather/shatterproof ornament and place it on the tree.”

“Four years ago we planted this tree,” Commissioner Sharkey concluded.  “Much like this community, it continues to grow stronger everyday.  May this tree lighting event become a family tradition for decades.”
