Sydney Hill, a 2021 graduate of Germantown Academy in Fort Washington, attended the 67th annual Grammy Awards held in Los Angeles earlier this month.

Hill, a senior music industry major and public relations minor at the University of Miami, was invited as a membership and industry relations intern for the Florida Chapter of the Recording Academy / GRAMMYs, the school said in a post.

In 2012, she recorded with a kid’s musical group, the engineer/producer of which won a Grammy in 2011. She is pictured above with the award.

She wasn’t close enough to touch an actual award this time, but “being able to be in the room with so many people who changed the world of music was surreal and watching Cynthia Erivo performing Fly Me to the Moon live was unbelievable,” she said
