Fort Washington centenarian’s advice for longevity feat. by Chestnut Hill Local

Lucy Nemetz, a recent centenarian who lived in Fort Washington with her husband, Joe, for over 50 years, was featured by the Chestnut Hill Local in an article titled “Advice from a centenarian: Vegetables are overrated“.

The article quotes Nemetz, currently a resident of Spring Mill Pointe in Lafayette Hill, as saying the secret to her longevity is the joy of living.

“Eat fewer fruits and vegetables. Eat more sweets!” she told the Local.

Nemetz worked as a bookkeeper for Charles Smith Realty/Insurance in North Hills for several years and co-owned Chap’s Pub in Lansdale with her late husband for decades.
