The former Wawa on Susquehanna and Bradfield roads in Abington Township recently put up permanent signage for a forthcoming Eagle Tobacco & Convenience Shop.
The parking barrier in the front of the building has a banner which says “Coming soon”. It was previously placed over the faded Wawa logo.
In September, Kevin Van Horn of Abington Township’s zoning department said his office had not received any paperwork from the company.
The Township is still without details regarding the shop’s intentions. Lori Schreiber, Ward 14 commissioner, told us she hasn’t heard anything concrete.
“I made some phone calls, and I was told that it was purchased by someone who plans to turn it into a cigar shop. That’s the last I heard,” Township manager Rich Manfredi said.

We will be in touch as we learn more. Stay tuned.
