Kelley Warner, former Deputy Chief of the Abington Township Police Department, has been appointed the first female Chief of Police in Solebury Township, according to the Bucks County Herald.
Warner served Abington from January 1989 to July 2021 before leaving to serve as Chief in Harrisonburg, Va. She began as a Patrol Officer and received a promotion to juvenile detective in 1996, Sergeant in 2000, and was reassigned to the Patrol Division.
In August 2013, she was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and assumed command of a patrol platoon.

Officials said she’ll begin the Solebury position on Monday, July 8. She replaces outgoing Chief Dominick Bellizzie, who retires on July 7.
“She has a real understanding of Solebury Township, picking apples at Solebury Orchards, watching her son playing baseball right here at Laurel Park and biking our scenic roads for many years,” said supervisor Chair Mark Baum Baicker.
Warner has bachelors and masters degrees from West Chester University and is a graduate of Northwestern University Police Staff and Command school.
