Flourtown Fire Company responds to vehicle fire on Route 309, assists with vehicle rescue

The Flourtown Fire Company announced that Station 6 was dispatched to Route 309 on Tuesday, June 3 for a vehicle fire at the top of the Southbound Exit ramp to Papermill Road.

Engine 6 and Ladder 6 quickly extinguished the fire, the company said.

On Thursday afternoon, Squad 6 was dispatched to assist Barren Hill Volunteer Fire Company on a vehicle rescue on Stenton Avenue.

“Squad 6 arrived and went into service with stabilization, utilizing struts and a tie back to a nearby tree,” the company said in a post. “Crews then removed the driver’s door to complete the rescue and transferred the patient to EMS.”
