Federal Donuts and Chicken to host grand opening in Willow Grove on Jan 10

Federal Donuts and Chicken will open in the Willow Grove Pointe shopping center on Friday, January 10 at 7:00am.

According to their Instagram post, the first 100 guests on Friday will receive a free t-shirt, and FedNuts Minis will be given away with each purchase all weekend.

In April, Federal Donuts & Chicken announced that Chris Magarity, Mike Sloane, and Michael Heller are the franchisees who will oversee the Philadelphia suburban expansion plans. In addition to Willow Grove, plans are also underway to open in Conshohocken.

Federal Donuts & Chicken was founded in 2011 by James Beard Award-winning restaurateurs Chef Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook and quickly became known for its fried chicken and donuts. Since then it has expanded its menu to include fried chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, and breakfast sandwiches. Coming soon to the menu is a three-piece chicken dinner.

“We are grateful that Federal Donuts & Chicken has resonated with Philadelphians for over a decade. It’s their support that has allowed us to continue to grow within the region and beyond,” Solomonov and Cook said. “We are excited to move into the next chapter partnering with some of the industry’s most successful restaurateurs.”

The Willow Grove location’s hours are 7:00am to 8:00pm daily.

Their website lists a January 3 opening date. The manager of the recently opened Radnor location told Glenside Local that Friday is indeed the grand opening.

The space at 4021 Welsh Road (Upper Moreland Township) was most recently occupied by Jamba Juice.
