The Derby is Saturday, June 1 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Kleinheinz Pond, Tookany Creek Parkway (between Central Avenue and Beryl Road in Cheltenham). Children can test their skill and luck at the 62nd Annual Fishing Derby. The Fishing Derby is open to kids up to age 15 and children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. The $3 entrance fee entitles participants use the pole and line, one hot dog, one soda and a chance to win great prizes. Participants must bring their own bait. There is no rain date for this event. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., come early to get the best spot around the pond.
