Update: Andrusko has been found, the Cheltenham Township Police Department announced the morning of Saturday, June 14.
The Cheltenham Township Police Department announced earlier this week that Kyle Andrusko, 18, of Elkins Park, has been missing since 9:00pm on Tuesday, June 10 when he left on foot after telling his mother he was going to use the bathroom.
Andrusko is autistic and may be nonverbal, police said. He is without his phone, has no money or cards on him, and was last seen in the area of Brookview Apartments.
According to NBC10, Andrusko’s family moved to Pennsylvania from Florida on Monday.
“I’m restless. You can’t really sleep all the way,” his grandmother, Valerie Redd, said. “Late nights, I don’t feel at ease, cause I know he’s out there somewhere, and I want to know if he’s okay and I’m not there to protect him.”
Cheltenham police say they are taking the case very seriously and the Greater Philadelphia Search and Rescue team will begin canvassing the area today.
He is described as 5’7” tall with a thin build, and wearing a Spider Man t-shirt, teal joggers, and black Nikes with a red swoosh.
Please contact Detective Justin Sneeringer at (215) 885-1600 ext. 1041 or jsneeringer@cheltenhampa.gov. You can also call 911 if you see Andrusko or know his whereabouts.
