Elkins Park Synagogue to receive 2 million dollars for dome repair

The Beth Sholom Synagogue in Elkins Park, famously designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, will receive a 2 million dollar grant to repair and restore its dome.

Last week, State Rep. Napolean Nelson, announced that the synagogue will receive the grant from the Pennsylvania Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program. This program is administered through Pennsylvania’s Office of the Budget. Salus University in Jenkintown is also receiving $500,000 for campus improvements.
