Dave’s Hot Chicken, a friend chicken chain restaurant, plans to open in the Willow Grove Shopping Center in the fall of this year, Federal Realty Investment Trust announced today.
The 2,825-square-foot eatery will be located in a new building as part of a multimillion-dollar overhaul of the shopping center which will include a six-story, 260-unit apartment building.

The restaurant will not have a drive-thru lane, the Philadelphia Business Journal said, and the franchises are known for their jumbo chicken sliders and tenders, served at seven different spice levels.

The first Dave’s Hot Chicken came to a Hollywood parking lot in 2017 as a small street food stand with a portable fryer, a few picnic tables, and a limited menu. They have since expanded to more than 700 franchise locations in the U.S., Canada and the Middle East.
It plans to open another 90-plus restaurants in 2024, the Journal said. For more on the chain, you can visit their website.
