Da Burger Jawn in Cheltenham: Steady growth, tasty options

Da Burger Jawn opened on April 1 at 7408 Front Street in Cheltenham Township.

Kumony McFarland, a resident of Cheltenham, was brought up in a culinary family. His father owns Dwights Southern Barbecue II in Philadelphia.

“We’ve had people come from out of town to try us out. It’s coming along,” McFarland, also known as “Q,” said. “I wanted to bring some new food to Cheltenham. I didn’t want to do a big restaurant, so I decided to go with burgers. Everyone loves a good burger.”

McFarland says he handrolls and seasons everything himself and offers a diverse menu to suit any mood: Wings, steaks, sandwiches, salads, rice bowls, tacos, and, of course, burgers.

“Our specialty sandwiches have been doing well, too,” he said. “A lot of people love the grilled chicken Caesar salad. “
