Curtis Hall Unveiled, Township Calls Out for More Weddings

The crown jewel of Cheltenham’s park system had its unveiling yesterday. After extensive restoration and renovations, Curtis Hall is again available for public and private events. The township along with project collaborator Jeff Miller were there to cut the symbolic ribbon on the restoration of this spectacular landmark.

In his remarks to the gathering, Cheltenham Township Manager Bryan Havir spoke of the “creative partnership” between the township and caterer Jeff Miller, who kicked in about $600,000 towards the project.

Echoing that sentiment was Township Commissioner President Daniel Norris, who cited the challenge of funding the project. In 2017, the township unveiled the restored staircase at the Hall at a cost of $125,000, indicating the much greater expense of further restorations at the landmark would require a public-private partnership.

For his part, Jeff Miller expressed great enthusiasm for the project and the collaboration with the township. He described Curtis Hall as a “premier event destination,” and reminded everyone there that more events at the Hall mean more revenue for Cheltenham.
