Huntingdon Valley Fire Company announced that members of Fetters Mill Fire Rescue helped extinguish a large brush fire in the area of Tomlinson Road (Lower Moreland Township) on New Year’s Day.

Officials said members were on scene for nearly two hours and that “access was difficult” and required operations from both sides of the fire, which included the Philadelphia Fire Department and the Rockledge Fire Company.

The post noted that Rockledge members covered a second call for Huntingdon Valley Fire Company during their service.
