Code Blue weather emergency declared from Dec. 29 – Jan. 3, Philly goes 700 days with no snow

A Code Blue cold weather emergency has been declared for Montgomery County from Friday, December 29 at 10:00pm until Wednesday, January 3 at 10:00am.

During this time, either the temperature or the wind chill is expected to be below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

In related news, the National Weather Service said that by Saturday, the Philly area will have gone 700 consecutive days without an inch or more of snow.

“If we make it through January 29th without an inch of snow, it will make a full 2 years,” their post said.
