CJ’s Sweet Palace, a new dessert shop in Glenside, will be expanding its menu and its seating options over the coming weeks.
“Our pizza pretzels have been a hit,” owner Carlief Brown said. “We have a new peach- and watermelon-flavored water ice coming out. We’ll also be introducing some hot food like French fries, funnel cake and buffalo wings in the near future.”
The shop already offers a variety of snacks—hot dogs, pretzels, popcorn, among others—toppings, and popular flavors of ice cream, including Brownie Cheesesteak, Java Cookie, Birthday Cake, and Cookie Monster.
Brown also said that new tables and chairs have been delivered and customers can expect outside seating soon, and that the shop plans to focus most on its water ice moving forward.
“Water ice is our lane. We’re a water ice shop that just so happens to have ice cream flavors,” he said.a
