“Now that the holidays have passed, Jenkintown Borough has scheduled Holiday Tree Special Pick-Up for the next five (5) consecutive Tuesdays,” the Borough reported today. “Jenkintown Borough Public Works will begin curbside pick up of Holiday Trees next Tuesday, January 8th.”
According to the statement from the Borough of Jenkintown, “These special pick up days will continue for five (5) consecutive Tuesdays (January 8th, January 15th, January 22nd, January 29th, ad February 5th). Residents are encouraged to place the trees out on Monday evening in order to guarantee pickup.”
The Borough asked that residents “be sure to remove all lights and ornaments so that the process of turning the trees in to usable mulch will not be negatively affected.”
Beyond the Christmas Tree recycling, “regularly scheduled lawn & leaf debris curbside pickup will continue on Tuesdays, weather permitting.”
Residents that have questions or concerns are encouraged to visit the Jenkintown Borough Hall or by telephone at 215-885-0700.
