Abington Township issued a statement today letting residents know that there is “one week left to place your holiday trees by the curb.  Please leave your tree by the curb on your normal trash day through January 31, 2019.  Trees should be free of any decorations, lights, bags, etc.”

The cut Christmas trees “are collected through the end of the month,” according to a previous statement from Abington Township.  “A designated truck will collect the trees…The trees will be taken to the Public Works facility and chipped into mulch for residents’ use in the spring.  Trees will be collected curbside only;  no trees can be taken to the Public Works yard by residents.”
