The Tree Tenders of Cheltenham Township are offering to plant shade trees for residents.
Trees which are planted within about 10’ of the street or sidewalk cost $110, and trees planted in other locations cost $135. The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) subsidizes the trees and trained volunteers plant them.
Sizes are between 7’ and 14’ bare root or 4′-7′ tall in 5- or 7-gallon containers, depending on species. Smaller trees are available for small yards or under wires.
